Her Majesty the Queen celebrates her Platinum Jubilee in June – and many of us will be celebrating with her. Here in Braemar, plans are already under way to mark this significant anniversary. We’d like you to join in by sharing with us your tributes or memories of the Queen on Royal Deeside  – wherever you are in the world!  Did you ever meet the Queen? Where did you meet her and what are your memories? If you’d like to share your tributes and stories, photos and videos, possibly for use in an exhibition in Braemar later this year, please contact Braemar Local History Group for further details at  Thank you.

On Saturday and Sunday July 10 and 11 2021 we launched Maureen Kelly’s fantastic new booklet called the Jacobites and Upper Deeside at the Alan Breck’s Regiment Re-Enactment event at Braemar Castle.
